With a BIG vision of creating a jungle inside this amazing building and with heaps of foraged, harvested, borrowed and clipped foliages and plants we set about transforming this space. It mostly happened the day before the wedding with lots of help from the couples friends and family. All the flowers for the bouquets and buttonholes were cut from plants. There was a canopy of foliage suspended from the grid shell creating a green space under which the food was served and then it was party time. Plants adorned the tables for dinner. The plants all went to new homes and the foliages went to compost. Very little waste!

Nia is amazing. She listens to crazy quirky ideas and turns them into a reality with innovative ideas and practical solutions. We wanted a jungle but also wanted to be reasonably sustainable, we used cuttings from local gardeners and tree surgeons for foliage that otherwise would have been put into the chipper, and all the plants, except the bouquets, were in pots and are still living in our friends and family’s houses and gardens. Nia is easy to work with, a lovely person and created a beautiful jungle perfect for our wedding day!
